PhotoFlip Installation Instructions:

Minimum Requirements:

• Fireworks 8 (or greater) if you want to use the included PNG Files
• Dreamweaver 8 (or greater)
• Text editor of your choice - Notepad or Text Edit work great - Don't use MS Word
• A server to deploy the site in
• The server must allow PHP 4 or higher
• Open Realty 2.4

Features:

• Photoflip Header (XML Controlled)

Included are:

• /Scripts/ - (for the IE Flash Activation message - Soon to be defunct as of April 2008)
• openrealty.swf - (must be loaded to the root folder of your site)
• open.xml - (must be loaded to the root folder of your site)
• /images/flash/ - (must be loaded to the root folder of your site)
• /resource_files/
• /main.png - (layout in fireworks, layers included)
• /tab png's - (header_nav.png, tableftH.png, tabrightH.png)
• /logo.png
• /template/
• /{open realty files}
• /styles.css - (customise this to suit your look)

How to Deploy the template:

By now, you have unzipped ALL files to your choice of location..

1. In a text editor of your choice (I used Dreamweaver)
2. Edit the XML file inside the root folder, titled open.xml - change all image information, (EXCEPT the image path location), including file names, titles, urls, and descriptions.
   Note: I have changed the way I'm handling these XML files, you can add UP TO as many items as you like (100 images being the maximum recommended) and the template will take care of the rest.
3. Upload ALL FILES INSIDE or_photoflip_template FOLDER to your root directory and test.
4. Log into Admin, and in Config, change the current template to "photoflip" (assuming you have not changed the name of the original template folder) .
5. DO NOT upload the or_photoflip_template folder to your root directory
6. DO NOT Upload the "resource_files" folder

Customising:

We have made every effort to make the site as easily customizable as I could. ALL CSS has been centralized inside the /template_name/ folder for easy access to it, and all graphics and assets have been organized to help you find your way. I have also carefully commented main.php code and named every important trigger. I have thoroughly tested the site and everything is working in its current state - except in IE.6, so any customization is done at your own risk! I will be more than happy to help out as best I can - within reason. I cannot help you customize things to fit your specific needs beyond the scope of these files.

It goes without saying that if you happen to find a bug in my files I will gladly help you crush it with merciless precision - but remember I can't always anticipate other people's coding practices, so please be patient. :)

You can brand it your Own, tell the world you developed and designed it - we are not precious about this issue, but we do ask if you deploy it, we would love to see it in Action. This will help us better understand your Needs out there in the OR community and develop and design more Free Stuff for you.
